Relations between Georgia and Montenegro

Chronology of Diplomatic Relations:

Diplomatic relations between Georgia and Montenegro were established on 29 October, 2007.

Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Montenegro (with residence in Budapest):

  • Zaal Gogsadze – 2018- to date
  • Zaza kandelaki – 2013-2018
  • Zviad Chumburidze – 2010-2013

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Montenegro to Georgia (with residence in Kiev):

  • Ljubomir Mišurović – 2013-to date

Main Fields of Cooperation:

Cooperation in multilateral formats is more active than dynamics of bilateral relations.

On June 12-14, 2018, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro Srđan Darmanović paid an official visit to Georgia.

Two international agreements are concluded between Georgia and Montenegro, which regulate cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs as well as cooperation in the field of tourism.
