David Zalkaliani: Georgia and support for Georgia is high on the political agenda of the international community

08.08.2019, Tbilisi - “11 years have passed and unfortunately the occupation still continues. Even more, factual annexation is going on and in light of these developments, as never before, we are united and consolidated along with the international community and this is demonstrated even by the presence of the representatives of the diplomatic corps here today”-the Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani stated at the brothers cemetery of Mukhatgverdi where the Ministry of Foreign Affairs along with the representatives of the diplomatic corps paid a tribute to the memory of those who lost their lives during the 2008 Russian-Georgian war. 
 
 
The Georgian Foreign Minister expressed condolences to the families of those heroes who lost their lives in the August war and stated that Georgia, as never before, is high on the political agenda of the international community. According to the Minister, even during the last 1 year many supportive statements were made both by the partner countries and the international community as well as proper resolutions were adopted.
