On 24 June 2010, following a meeting between US President Barack Obama and President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, a document was  released by the White House which, among other issues, also addresses Georgia.

On 29 July 2010, the European Union and Georgia concluded negotiations on a bilateral Agreement for the protection of their respective "Geographical Indications", the text of the Agreement was initialled. This Agreement will promote and foster trade in agricultural products and foodstuffs originating in the territories of both Georgia and the European Union.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia expresses its sorrow over the bomb explosion in the orthodox church in Zaporozhyue, Ukraine, causing the death of one and the physical injury of eight people.
