Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Grigol Vashadze is on his official visit in the Republic of Italy (8-9 February). In the frames of the visit Minister Vashadze will meet with his Italian counterpart, Italian Minister Franco Frattini.

On 8 February 2010, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Davit Jalagania met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Georgia Vasili Tsibenko, at the request of the latter.

On 5-7 February 2010, the 46th conference on security was held in Munich attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Grigol Vashadze.

On 4 February 2010, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Grigol Vashadze met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Holy See to Georgia and Doyen of Diplomatic Corps accredited in Georgia, Msgr. Claudio Gugerotti.

At the 1076th meeting of Ministers' Deputies of the Council of Europe, held on 3 February 2010, Georgia's Deputy Prime Minister and State Minister for Reintegration Temur Yakobashvili presented to the decision-making body of the Organization the recently adopted "State Strategy of the Government of Georgia on the Occupied Territories of Georgia: Engagement though Co-operation".

On 8-9 February 2010 Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Grigol Vashadze paid a working visit to the Republic of Italy. In the frames of the visit meetings will be held with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Italy Franco Frattini, Chairperson of the chamber of deputies of the Italian Parliament Gianfranco Fini and representatives of various political parties.

On 5-7 February 2010, Germany will host the 46th Munich Security Conference, which represents a high level international forum and which discusses the Euro-Atlantic relations and topical issues of European and global security. The world political leaders and experts of security will took part in the conference.

Deputy Secretary of State James Steinberg will travel to the Caucasus on February 4th and 5th. He will meet in Yerevan, Armenia with President Serzh Sargsian and Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian to discuss bilateral and regional issues. He will proceed to Tbilisi, Georgia where he will meet with President Mikheil Saakashvili and representatives of Georgia's opposition.

On 1 February 2010 US Assistant Secretary of State Phillip Gordon held a briefing for foreign media highlighting the remarks made by the US Secretary of State on 29 January and once again summarizing the major principles of the United States' European security policy.

On 2 February 2010 the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia hosted a meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Grigol Vashadze and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belgium to Georgia Charles Ghislain, who completed his diplomatic mission.

On 2 February 2010 Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Alexander Nalbandov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Georgia Mojtaba Dameerchilu.

On 29 January 2010 the delegation of the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs ended its working visit in New York. The Georgian delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Nalbandov.

On 29 January 2010 Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Davit Jalaghania met with Charges d'Affaires of Spain to Georgia Jose Sorrilla and trade representative of Spain Martin Barbero.

On 29 January 2010, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Deputy Minister David Jalagania met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Netherland to Georgia Pieter J. Langenberg and with Chief of Political and Economic Affairs of the Embassy of United States of America Julie D. Fisher.

On 27-28 January 2010, delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, headed by Minister Grigol Vashadze, paid a visit to the United Kingdom.

The Meeting of the Ministers of Energy of the BSEC Member States was held in Sofia, on 28 January 2010. It was preceded by the Meeting of the BSEC Working Group on Energy on 27 January 2010.

On 28 January 2010, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Davit Jalaghania met with Mahir Babaev, Political Adviser to the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and EBRD's representatives for Georgia and Azerbaijan - Anita Taci and Franto Ricka.
