On the 23rd of August 2012, the newly-appointed Ambassador of the State of Israel to Georgia, Mr. Yuval Fuchs, presented copies of his credentials to the Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister, Ms. Nino Kalandadze.

The two held a meeting following the official ceremony, during which they discussed the future prospects for the deepening of bilateral relations between Georgia and the State of Israel, as well as for the development of co-operation within the framework of international organizations.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia particularly welcomes Israel's decision regarding the recognition of the neutral travel documents in the framework of the Action Plan of the Strategy on Occupied territories, of which the Israeli Ambassador notified Nino Kalandadze and handed an official Note to her.

The sides expressed their hope to continue close co-operation in the future.
