The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia wishes to express its extreme concern over a series of terrorist acts having occurred recently in the south-east part of Turkey and taking the lives of Turkish soldiers. The Ministry strongly condemns all acts of terrorism in any form, which call into question the peace and stability of the region.

On the 6th and 7th of September 2012, a delegation of U.S. Senators arrived in Georgia which included Senators Mr. John McCain, Mr. Lindsey Graham and Mr. Joe Lieberman.

On the 5th of September 2012, the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Poland, Mr. Radoslaw Sikorski, and the Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Sweden, Mr. Carl Bildt, paid an official visit to Georgia. Invited as honorary guests by their Georgian counterpart, Mr. Grigol Vashadze, the Foreign Ministers took part in this year's ambassadorial meeting in Tbilisi.
