To mark the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between their two countries, on the 10th of May 2013 the foreign ministers of Georgia and Bahrain exchanged letters in which they recognized the importance of the increase in co-operation which has taken place in recent years and expressed their readiness to promote the enhancement of future relations.

The Georgian Foreign Minister, Mr. Grigol Vashadze, and his Spanish counterpart, Mr. José Manuel García-Margallo y Marfil, recently exchanged letters to mark the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Georgia and Spain.

The Georgian Foreign Minister, Mr. Grigol Vashadze, and his Japanese counterpart, Mr. Koichiro Gemba, recently exchanged letters to mark the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Georgia and Japan.

The Georgian Foreign Minister, Mr. Grigol Vashadze, and his Vietnamese counterpart, Mr. Pham Binh Minh, recently exchanged letters to mark the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Georgia and Vietnam.

On the 10th of July 2012, the Georgian Foreign Minister, Mr. Grigol Vashadze, met his Bulgarian counterpart, Mr. Nickolay Mladenov, who is on a working visit to Georgia.

The Georgian Foreign Minister, Mr. Grigol Vashadze, and his Italian counterpart, Mr. Giulio Terzi di Sant'Agata signed a joint statement to mark the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Georgia and the Republic of Italy.
