Information on the movement of Georgian citizens across the Russian-Azerbaijani land border
In accordance with Resolution N1223 of 5 November 1999 of the Government of the Russian Federation on the "prevention of penetration of members of foreign terrorist organizations and import of subversive equipment into the territory of the Russian Federation and on preventive measures within the checkpoints across the North Caucasus section of the Russian State Border", border crossing rules have been elaborated.

Information For Nationals of Foreign Countries and Individuals without Citizenship at Entry to Georgia
Under the Law of Georgia Concerning Occupied Territories done on 23 October 2008, the following territories are considered occupied: the territories of Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia and of Tskhinvali Region. On the basis of the Agreement on Cease-Fire done on 12 August 2008, the above Law is also effective at the following territories: the village of Perevi in Sachkhere district as well as the territories of Kurta, Eredvi and Azhara municipalities and Akhalgori municipality.
