Diplomatic relations between Georgia and the Republic of Austria were established on March 25, 1992.

Fields of Cooperation

There is an active relationship between Georgia and the Republic of Austria. There is an increasing level of political activity, economic interest and cooperation. Austria supports Georgia's territorial integrity and its integration into the European and Euro-Atlantic structures. Exchange programs between educational centers of the two countries and ties in the field of culture and medicine are intensive. Austria supports Georgia for the development of tourism-infrastructure as well.
