Fields of cooperation:

Georgia and Lithuania have developed a close partnership in all spheres of cooperation. Lithuania actively supports Georgia's aspirations to integrate into European and Euro-Atlantic structures. Close partnership between the two countries laid the path for greater institutional integration which became evident in April 2009 when two countries signed the Charter on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration. The document became the basis for enhancing consultations between the two sides on all levels and developing new mechanisms for bringing Georgia closer to EU and NATO structures.

Lithuania implements projects in the framework of the Development Cooperation under the aegis of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania. Projects aim to assist Georgia with fulfilling its goals and aspirations, which include good governance, democratization and economic development.

Organizing conferences for local authorities and the representatives of central government for greater public engagement, reconstruction of educational and cultural buildings, establishing E-centers in various regions of Georgia and promoting partnerships between Georgian and Lithuanian business communities are some of the projects that Lithuania has implemented in the framework of Development Cooperation.
