Chronology of Diplomatic Relations:

Diplomatic relations with the Republic of Malta were established on 1 February, 1993.

 Ambassadors of Georgia to the Republic of Malta:

Mr. Zaal Gogsadze (October, 2004-2008);

Mr. Konstantine Gabashvili (01.08.2008-to date).

Ambassadors of the Republic of Malta to Georgia:

 Mr. George Saliba - (1996 - 2001);

Mr. Joseph Cassar - (2002 - 2009);

Mr. Godwin Montanaro - (since 14.09.2010).

Fields of Cooperation:

Quite a fruitful cooperation between Georgia and the Republic of Malta in the educational field. Namely, the „Mediterranean Academy of Diplomatic Studies of the University of Malta" invites every year a young Georgian Diplomat from the central office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for participation in the Diplomatic course of the Academy.
