Giorgi Javakhishvili was born on June 10, 1941 in Tbilisi.


1965 - graduated from Faculty of Journalism at Tbilisi State University.
July 1, 1965 - January 1, 1979 - Faculty of Journalism at Tbilisi State University: laboratory assistant, senior teacher, assistant professor and professor;
January 1, 1979 - January 1, 1982 - First Deputy Chief of Department of Agitation and Propaganda of Central Committee of Georgian Communist Party;
January 1, 1983 -January 1, 1985 -Rector of State Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages of Tbilisi;
January 1, 1985 - January 1, 1990 - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Georgia;
Javakhishvili is ranked as First Class Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Envoy.


Married, has a child.


Speaks English and Russian.
