  The 5th Eastern Partnership Foreign Ministerial meeting was held in Brussels

The 5th meeting of the Eastern Partnership Foreign Ministers was held in Brussels on the 22nd of July 2014. The meeting was chaired by the European Union's (EU) High Representative for Foreign Affairs & Security Policy, Ms Catherine Ashton, and was attended by the EU Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy, Mr Štefan Füle; the foreign ministers of the EU member states and of the six "Eastern Partnership" countries; other high-ranking officials; and representatives of the European Investment Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The Georgian delegation was headed by the Georgian Foreign Minister, Ms Maia Panjikidze.

Resolution of the European Parliament on the Situation in Ukraine adopted on the 17th of July 2014

On the 17th of July 2014 the European Parliament adopted a Resolution on the Situation in Ukraine (with 497 countries voting in favour, 121 - against, 21 abstentions). The European Parliament condemns the violation of the ceasefire announced in June by pro-Russian activists and Russian mercenaries and calls on Russia to support the Ukrainian President's peace plan with true determination and to pull back its troops from its border with Ukraine.
