Maka Botchorishvili meets with the Ambassador-designate of Vietnam to Georgia

The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Botchorishvili, held an introductory meeting with the Ambassador-designate of Vietnam to Georgia, resident in Astana, Nguyen Thanh Le.

During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for developing bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Georgia and Vietnam. The need to intensify exchanges of high-level visits was emphasized, and in this context, the planned visit of the Vice President of Vietnam to Georgia was noted.

Particular attention was paid to Georgia’s transit potential and opportunities for further deepening trade and economic relations between the two countries.

The sides also discussed the opening of the Embassy of Georgia in Vietnam in the near future, which is expected to provide significant impetus to cooperation between the two countries.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Georgia wished the Ambassador-designate of Vietnam success in his future endeavours.
