George Zurabashvili meets with Deputy Foreign Minister of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam Dang Hoang Giang

The First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, George Zurabashvili held a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, Dang Hoang Giang.

The discussion focused on prospects for developing bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Georgia and Viet Nam.

The parties underscored the need to deepen high-level dialogue and highlighted the significance of the first official visit to Georgia by the Vice President of Viet Nam.

Special attention was paid to Georgia’s transit potential and opportunities for deepening trade and economic relations between the two countries.

The parties also discussed the opening of a Georgian Embassy in Viet Nam, which will provide significant impetus to cooperation between the two countries.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.
