The Minister also spoke about the progress Georgia has achieved across various sectors in recent years, noting that these advancements have been consistently reflected in relevant international rankings.
„Over the past three decades, our country has faced wars, transitions, and profound challenges. Yet through it all, Georgia has remained firmly committed to reform, resilience, and renewal. Georgia - though small in size - has worked with determination to strengthen its institutions, develop its economy, fight corruption, and establish itself as a responsible member of the international community. International assessments consistently reflect this progress, highlighting advances in the rule of law, transparency, and public integrity“, highlighted the Minister.
The Professional Development Programme has been implemented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia since 2025. The initiative is designed to enhance Georgia's engagement on the international stage and to promote the deepening of diplomatic relations. It hosts civil servants from countries across various regions of the world with the aim of familiarizing them with Georgia, sharing the country's experience and achievements in multiple sectors, showcasing its potential as a regional logistics hub and fostering professional networks.
The capacity development programme is carried out with the involvement and support of the Ministries of Justice, Defence, Internal Affairs, Economy and Sustainable Development, Environmental Protection and Agriculture, as well as the State Security Service of Georgia.
As part of the programme, participants also visited villages located near the occupation line, where they received information about the situation in the occupied regions and the humanitarian challenges faced by the local population.
