The 34th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Georgia and China was marked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alexander Khvtisiashvili and the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Georgia, Zhou Qian, extended their congratulations on the occasion and welcomed the elevation of bilateral relations to a higher level of comprehensive strategic partnership, as formalized through the exchange of letters between the President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, and the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping.
The two Presidents congratulated each other on the 34th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Georgia and China and reached a joint decision to elevate Georgia-China relations to the level of a comprehensive strategic partnership.
In the letters, it is noted that in past decades, the friendship, stable partnership and fruitful cooperation between Georgia and the People’s Republic of China have been strengthened across various fields.
It is emphasized that the dynamic development of relations in the future between Georgia and China is important for ensuring the well-being and prosperity of both countries and their peoples.
