Ambassador of Georgia to the Holy See has Presented Letters of Credence to Pope Leo XIV

On 17 June, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Holy See, Davit Mekvabishvili, presented his Letters of Credence to His Holiness Pope Leo XIV.

Following the official credential presentation ceremony, a meeting was held between the Ambassador and the Pope.

The discussion focused on the cooperative and friendly relations between Georgia and the Holy See. His Holiness extended his best wishes to the Ambassador in his future endeavors.

As a token of appreciation, the Ambassador presented the Pope with a replica of Saint Nino’s Cross and a book on Georgian manuscripts.

The solemn credential presentation ceremony took place at the Apostolic Palace of the Holy See.
