Ilia Darchiashvili has met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Georgia

On 25 May 2023, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Ilia Darchiashvili held a farewell meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Georgia Imamura Akira.

The minister thanked the Japanese diplomat for his personal contribution to the development of relations between the two countries and wished him success in his future responsible activities. At the meeting, the sides talked about the current issues relating to bilateral cooperation. They highly appreciated the exemplary relations established between Georgia and Japan in both bilateral and multilateral formats.

The positive dynamics of recent high-level visits was particularly noted. At the end of the meeting, the ambassador thanked the minister for fruitful cooperation and once again confirmed Japan's strong support for Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
