The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Ilia Darchiashvili, within the framework of his visit to Brussels, met with the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament (AFET), David McAllister.
The sides paid special attention to the process of Georgia's accession to the European Union, the government's fulfillment of its commitments to the European Commission, and the activities carried out by the Parliament of Georgia in this direction.
The sides highlighted the importance of the European Parliament’s continued support to Georgia's European aspirations, which taken on a particularly meaningful focus amid the security challenges facing the region. The Minister also informed David McAllister about the the Georgian government’s plans regarding Georgia’s sectoral integration with the European Union.
