Ilia Darchiashvili has met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania

A meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania within the framework of the Munich Security Conference.

Ilia Darchiashvili and Bogdan Aurescu talked about the current agenda of bilateral relations. Special attention was paid to the issues of European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Georgia.

The ministers welcomed the strategic document signed between Georgia and Romania and agreed to actively work on the relevant action plan for the implementation of the document. The ministers also exchanged views on the significance of the quadrilateral agreement on the Black Sea submarine cable for the transport of electricity from the Caspian area to Romania and on the measures planned in this direction.

The Romanian side once again expressed its strong support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia. Ilia Darchiashvili invited his colleague to visit Georgia.
