On 30 May 2023, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Aleksandre Khvtisiashvili took part in the Independence Day event organized by the Israeli Embassy.
The Deputy Minister congratulated the Jewish people on Independence Day and wished them prosperity and success.
Aleksandre Khvtisashvili spoke about centuries-old friendship and cooperation between Georgian and Jewish people.
In his speech, the deputy minister highlighted that the centuries-long friendship of the Georgian and Jewish people today has a positive impact on the partnership between the states. According to him, the Government of Georgia is interested in further strengthening these ties, and the official visits of the Prime Minister of Georgia and the Minister of Foreign Affairs to Israel in the last two years served this purpose.
