Maka Botchorishvili Signs the Book of Condolences at the Apostolic Nunciature

On 25 April 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maka Botchorishvili, accompanied by Deputy Minister Giorgi Zurabashvili, visited the Apostolic Nunciature in Georgia.
During the visit, the Minister signed the Book of Condolences opened in connection with the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis and expressed solidarity with Catholics in Georgia and around the world.

“The Holy Father’s incredible leadership in a complex and challenging time for the world touched millions. Pope Francis holds a special place in the hearts of the Georgian people. The Holy Father’s historic visit to Tbilisi in 2016 serves as a manifestation of enduring relations between Georgia and the Holy See deeply rooted in Christian tradition. We cherish the Pope’s personal affiliation and spiritual bonds with Georgia, its people and unique culture” -  as Maka Botchorishvili noted in her entry in the Book of Condolences.
