On 30 June - 1 July 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Botchorishvili, is paying a visit to the Kingdom of Spain to participate in the 4th United Nations International Conference dedicated to financing for sustainable development.
This high-level conference serves as a key global platform for dialogue on the reform of the international financial architecture and the mobilization of resources in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The conference brings together heads of state and government, ministers of foreign affairs and finance, as well as other senior officials from more than 70 countries.
The event will be opened by His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain and will feature addresses by UN Secretary-General António Guterres and the Prime Minister of Spain, Pedro Sánchez.
Minister Botchorishvili will deliver a national statement during the General Debate, in which she will highlight Georgia’s contribution to the implementation of the SDGs, its growing regional role, and the country’s experience in ensuring economic stability, financial sustainability, and inclusive growth.
In the margins of the conference, Minister Botchorishvili is also scheduled to hold a series of bilateral meetings with her counterparts.
