On 14 September 2026, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Lasha Darsalia held a meeting with Dena Fisher, Operations Coordinator for Europe and Central Asia at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
The sides focused on the existing cooperation between Georgia and the International Committee of the Red Cross. Particular emphasis was placed on the humanitarian efforts undertaken by the organisation in Georgia, particularly its support for the population living in Georgia’s occupied territories and persons affected by the Russia-Georgia war.
The discussion also covered the progress in the process of tracing persons missing as a result of the hostilities of the 1990s and the August 2008 Russia-Georgia war.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the sides reaffirmed their readiness to maintain close cooperation.
