Georgian Innovation Hub Launched in San Francisco

On 4 June 2026, the official inauguration ceremony of Georgia’s Innovation Hub, BRID.GE, was officially launched today in San Francisco, USA.

At the event, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Botchorishvili, addressed the assembled guests. She emphasized the significance of establishing a Georgian Innovation Hub in San Francisco, a city globally recognized as a symbol of innovation and creativity.

“We are creating a new bridge that will connect ideas with new opportunities and transform Georgia into a place where dreams are not constrained by geography. This bridge, officially launched today, is intended to become a powerful instrument not only for linking our countries and opportunities but also for connecting people,” stated Maka Botchorishvili.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs also highlighted that, despite numerous challenges, Georgia has emerged as a symbol of economic growth, new opportunities, and resilience in the region.

“Today, Georgia is considered one of the most favorable countries for starting a business, as regulations are straightforward and government services are digitally advanced. This creates tangible opportunities for both local and foreign investors,” emphasized Maka Botchorishvili.

Among the distinguished guests invited to the event were Daniel Lurie, Mayor of San Francisco, and Saeed Amidi, Founder and CEO of the global startup accelerator Plug and Play.

During the event, speeches were also delivered by Levan Kulijanishvili, Consul General of Georgia in San Francisco, Avtandil Kasradze, Chairman of the Georgia Innovation and Technology Agency and Amit Patel, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Owl Ventures.

At the official inauguration ceremony of Georgia’s Innovation Hub, the national anthems of Georgia and the United States were performed by Georgian singer Nutsa Buzaladze. The ceremony also featured distinguished examples of Georgian polyphonic singing, performed by the Georgian children’s folk ensemble Chakrulo.

It is noteworthy that BRID.GE represents the first Georgian Innovation Hub established outside the country. It provides Georgian startups and technology companies with new opportunities to enter international markets, collaborate with global partners and gain direct access to international investors.
