Lasha Darsalia Participates in the 7th Caspian Business Forum on the Sidelines of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly

On 22 September 2026, within the framework of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Lasha Darsalia participated in the 7th Caspian Business Forum.

At the panel discussion entitled “Investing in the Middle Corridor: What Does the New TRIPP (“Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity”) Corridor Mean for the Region,” Lasha Darsalia spoke about the strategic importance of the Black Sea in terms of connectivity and Georgia’s role in the development of the Middle Corridor. He highlighted projects aimed at fully realizing the country’s transit potential and establishing Georgia as a regional hub. In this context, he emphasized the importance of railway modernization, the Black Sea Submarine Electricity Cable Project, the Anaklia Deep Sea Port, as well as the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and South Caucasus pipelines.

Lasha Darsalia also spoke about the significant economic and institutional reforms implemented in Georgia over the past decade, which have created an open, competitive and investor-friendly business environment.

Concluding his remarks, the Deputy Minister underscored the importance of deepening cooperation with partner states and advancing regional connectivity.
