The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia expresses its sorrow regarding the earthquake hitting the Republic of Türkiye

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia expresses its deep sorrow over the earthquake that hit Türkiye  on 6 February, killing thousands of people, causing massive destruction and devastating cities and villages.

Georgia extends its sincere sympathy to Türkiye  over the heavy loss of life and extensive damage and expresses its solidarity with all those affected by this tragic disaster. Georgia has already sent a rescue crew and necessary equipment to Türkiye  to help the rescue efforts in quake-stricken areas. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs remains in constant contact with the competent authorities of Türkiye  and will continue active cooperation in this regard.
 
During this very difficult time, Georgia and the Georgian people stand with the government and people of Türkiye.
