The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Botchorishvili, is participating in the United Nations High-Level Conference taking place in Seville, Kingdom of Spain.
Together with heads of state and government, as well as foreign ministers from various countries, Minister Botchorishvili attended the opening session of the conference. The participants were addressed by His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain, Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, UN Secretary-General António Guterres, and other high-ranking dignitaries. The discussions underscored the need to adapt international financial systems and reduce existing gaps to effectively achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—a task requiring the collective efforts of UN member states.
Within the framework of the conference, Minister Botchorishvili is scheduled to deliver a statement, in which she will highlight Georgia’s progress in implementing the SDGs, the country’s experience in promoting sustainable economic growth and resilience, and its readiness to share this experience. She will also emphasize Georgia’s increasing role in fostering economic development across the wider region.
